The tablet

The tablet is configured and locked to this experience. It is not a general tablet the senior is expected to manage, and there is no app store on it.

Everyday tools

Four everyday tools sit on the tablet: a shared calendar, gentle messaging, ride requests, and faith reading for people who want it.

Shared calendar

Appointments and family events show on the tablet in large readable type, so the senior and the family are looking at the same plan.

Messaging

Notes from the family reach the senior on the tablet. Family can also get messages by text.

Ride requests

The senior, or someone helping, asks for a lift with a destination and a time. Staff or family confirm. It is a request to people already in the care circle, not a rideshare booking.

Faith reading

Faith reading is there when the family wants it. Families of any tradition, or none, are welcome. It is optional.

The family portal

The family portal is where adult children update the calendar, send messages, add photos and stories, and see the family tree.

Greater Phoenix

It is built for families in Greater Phoenix. Nationwide service is only a later plan, not what is offered today.

Communities

A community can run it for residents. Facility staff use an admin side for that community, and families still use the portal.
